ChangemakerXchange is committed to providing a work environment, and on- and offline community and experience in which everyone is treated fairly, in which harassment and discrimination are not tolerated, and in which individuals can address incidents of harassment and discrimination safely. While we understand that we cannot guarantee that our work environment and community will be free from harassment and discrimination, we invest in recognising, acknowledging, and adequately addressing all forms of harassment and discrimination that may occur.

ChangemakerXchange will not tolerate any harassment or discrimination in any form including verbal, physical, visual, digital, or sexual. In addition, ChangemakerXchange will not tolerate any harassment or discrimination on the basis of race, colour, religion, national origin, ancestry, gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, physical or mental disability, or any other basis protected by local and national laws.

Sexual harassment can take many forms including but not limited to:

This policy applies to all ChangemakerXchange staff, freelance consultants, and community members. Violations will result in prompt disciplinary action up to and including termination and expulsion from the community/ from employment. There may also be consequences during the investigation period (for example temporary exclusion), which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Reporting incidents: Process & Support

ChangemakerXchange encourages staff, freelance consultants, and community members to report any incident of harassment or discrimination to the ChangemakerXchange Response Team. This response team is currently made up of team members from the People Team (HR), DEI team and the Managing Directors (those legally responsible for ChangemakerXchange). As of November 2024, this includes Anouk Siegrist, Nadya Saib, Nick McGirl and Matthias Scheffelmeier.

Applicable law prohibits retaliation against any staff, freelancers, facilitator, host, and community member by another or by the company for using this complaint procedure or for participating in any aspect of a harassment or discrimination investigation.

To report an incident, you should first contact the Response Team at [email protected]. This is an essential step to initiate the investigation. You may then be asked to have a follow-up conversation and/or invited to fill out a ****Harassment and Discrimination Complaint Form (if this is something you are comfortable doing). If you want to report something completely anonymously – you can use our anonymous feedback form, please note that all Core Team members of ChangemakerXchange can view responses of this form. This is available at https://cxcforms.typeform.com/feedbackform or linked at the bottom of all our email newsletters sent out to community members.
